Recycling - Plastic
Did you know that Plastics makes up around 7% of the average household rubbish?
The amount of plastic waste generated annually in the UK is estimated to be nearly 3 million tonnes. It is estimated that over 55% of all plastics waste is used packaging, three-quarters of which is from households.
It is estimated that only around 7% of total plastic waste generated is currently being recycled. White Reclamation aims to help increase this figure.
So what types of plastics can be recycled?
There are about 50 different groups of plastics, with hundreds of different varieties. All types of plastics can be recycled.
White Reclamation will collect your unwanted plastics.
Alternatively, we accept them at either of our Manchester or Liverpool Reclamation Centres. Contact us for further details.
Once plastics arrive at our reclamation centres, they are segregated into types and then supplied to the end user within the UK’s plastics industry.
