Recycling - Plasterboard

As form 1st April 2009 new legislation governing the disposal of high sulphate bearing waste come into effect. Producers of construction waste must separate gypsum based material from other wastes so that it can be recycled or reused. This includes plasterboard waste. We have secured compliant end uses for your Plasterboard. For example, as British Gypsums regional partner we operate their bespoke recycling service throughout the North West which repatriates waste board back to their factory at East Leake. Please contact us for further information or deal direct with mark.snowden@bpb.com.

Other end uses include landspreading and the gypsum dust being used in North west cement kilns.

The new directive instructs that Plasterboard waste should be segragated at the point of production to facilitate the recycling process. However, we can carry out segregation on your behalf at our Eccles treatment facility for a premium.

Please speak to us to discuss how we can deliver the best collection solution for you, which meets your compliance and environmental requirements at the most economic rate.
