February 2009- Company invests £3m towards 'nil landfill by December 2009'.
White Reclamation currently recycle or reclaim over 75% of the 360,000 tonnes of waste it receives per year at it's state of the art materials facility at Eccles. This is set to increase dramatically.
In order for the company to meet it's target of 'nil landfill' by the end of 2009, We are investing £3m over the next six months into new recycling technology and facilities that will enable more cost effective and efficient recycling of tomorrow's waste.
This continued large investment in cutting edge technology will allow us to maintain our position as the regions largest and most innovative recyclers of commercial, industrial and construction wastes.
During 2009 we will commence the production of RDF and Bio-mass fuels utilising previously landfilled waste. This deflection of waste from landfill will be of considerable benefit to our clients and the environment.
These developments will set new yardsticks by which waste management companies need to be measured in the future.
