Plasterboard Recycling

Since 2009 new legislation governing the disposal of high sulphate bearing waste came into effect. This enforced producers of construction waste to separate gypsum based material (including plasterboard) from other wastes, so that it can be recycled or reused.

White Recycling have secured compliant end uses for your Plasterboard. For example, as British Gypsums regional partner we operate their bespoke recycling service throughout the North West which repatriates waste board back to their factory at East Leake.

Please contact us for further information or deal direct British Gypsum for further information.

Other end uses include the gypsum dust being used in North West cement kilns as an ingredient for further information.

The new directive instructs that Plasterboard waste should be segregated at the point of production to facilitate the recycling process. However, we can carry out segregation on your behalf at our Eccles treatment facility for a premium.
